Mobil 1 Oil Changes

Hey guys. Was curious on who is interested in getting oil changes at Mobil 1. I get a pretty smokin deal there. Like $85ish for 4.6 litres of Mobil 1 0w40 oil change. I can talk to Les up there and he is willing to do cards with his watermark for members to get discounted oil changes. And he also stated he can reserve a spot for us at hot night in the city, right beside his spot this year. He looking to lock down all of 3rd from Victoria to lansdowne.

I like it! Although I'm still a bit of a wimp an take my Subaru to Kelowna for its service at the dealership. I've heard some horror stories about service places forgetting something like the VIN number and Subaru declining warranty service but I like the idea of the spot for Hot Night

steve you take your car to kelowna for service OMFG!! thats outrageous... you know if you have documentation on oil changes from any oil change shop that is reputable, they will not void your warranty. Save some money man!

Agreed. It's a Subaru, not a Bentley. Keep your receipts and you're fine.

It's when you do it yourself or go to some shady garage is when theres an issue.

It's not just that, I mean I always had a business trip or planned trip to Kelowna that just happened to workout to get a service at the same time. I know that only the 'major' services need to be done at Subaru, but I don't trust the place in Kamloops, too many bad stories about it so for those I will probably still go to Kelowna for, regular stuff I will be looking for somewhere decent in town. I thought about that Mobil 1 place but $80? that's more than Subaru charges me for a service, that's crazy talk.

$80 oil change is the synthetic oil change (discounted) ... You can get a conventional oil change for around $45 (same as most dealerships)

as per my receipt, Subaru used 5w30 Mobil 1 synthetic motor oil on my last change, cost $60 bucks.

They are probably cutting you a deal Steve ! As they should you spent the money!! I personally wouldn't use mobile 1 in a Subaru as they already have problems with oil starvation as it is and Subarus are thirsty for mobile. The best oil for a wrx or sti is Motul or amsoil.
