1990 Nissan GTR
Hey everyone this will be my build up of my GTR. A little bit on the car it started out as a stock body r32 GTR and was imported into BC in 2006.The car sat at racing greed for a year and I purchased the car in late 2012. The motor was completely built up bottom to top (parts list will be listed below). The car has been on the road for about 6000 km now and is going in for a full tune in spring of 2013. Hoping to make the Horse Power number in my head. I will post pictures as the car is getting a complete makeover this winter and will be seen at all Revscene events as well as at race events in Mission BC.

Re: 1990 Nissan GTR
Looks good so far, will be real nice once it's all complete. I almost imported a ride here before getting my Rex. Thought about getting a Toyota Soarer. Cheers!

Re: 1990 Nissan GTR
Hey so today was final decision to fully remove AC from the car so me and pops got at it. Power steering pump had to get moved first. This weekend the pump will be coming out and the system will be purged off and removed. That includes the core on the front as well. This gives me room for my massive oil cooler! I also dumped oil from the car and removed all the charge piping as a new intercooler will need to be put in this year! Here are some pictures.
in this picture you can see the pump out and sitting beside the custom head tank
Charge piping out
Front hood latch brace loosened. That entire exchanger gets removed
The mess inside the car, you can see the cooler in the corner and some braided hose/fittings
MESS
My new filter relocation block, just mocking it up when the filter was removed. What do you guys think of that gold color, I was thinking about doing my calipers in that exact color?

Re: 1990 Nissan GTR
So I havent posted on my build thread for a bit..... Im in the process of grabbing a full Trust exhaust system off a GTRC skyline member in town. Im not sure exactly what size the system is im hoping its 4 inch, but the price was to good for me to turn down. I also just purchased a fuel rail and a 120mm intercooler. (just awaiting their arrival) I will be buying a fuel regulator here soon and a few more things. The oil cooler is almost done I am just making custom mounting brackets for it and it should be done soon i will post pics of that as well. By the way if any one wants a 4 point OMP harness asap will fit in any car, you can buy mine off me its barely used, If i can sell it right away i will buy 2 Takata harnesses instead of buying another passanger OMP. Spring is on its way!!!

Re: 1990 Nissan GTR
Alright here is another big update. Things are moving along and the mail lady has been at my house dropping gifts off lately so this has been good:). Lets start with some bad news, not really bad but more or less annoying information which I found out. I need bigger injectors.... plain and simple, So im on the hunt for 1000cc ones and selling my 700cc. My fuel lines also need to be all ripped out and replaced with braided line. So thats a huge pain in the ass. But anyways lets start with the interior.
I have now stripped the entire interior down. I will be picking up some dry ice to remove the interior tar. I am then respraying the interior in speckle paint. I have some wires to tuck and put in loom and such but that shouldn't take too long. Then I will start to re assemble my interior. I also did some dremeling on my dash piece that goes under my steering wheel to fit my turbo timer and boost controller.
I also removed the rear windshield wiper motor N1 style!
My skinny pedal is also broken... The tab on the top is fucked because we drilled a hole through the fire wall... Stupid.. time to pull out the Mig.
Staight
Bendy!!
Thats where I need to weld
The engine bay, if you have been reading AC is gone.. I had to make room for my oil cooler which went in the place of my condenser. I also relocated my oil filter. Holy Shit was that a nightmare. Its supposed to go in your motor bay, close to the fuse box. I didnt want it there because i dont want oil all over my clean motor bay every time I need to do an oil change. So I mounted it on the frame rail beside the tranny. This made it really hard to get any tool in there. You will see in the pictures how much room there is. The new sandwich plate that went in place of the oil filter on the block was also a bitch, you could not get a wrench on the fittings so I ended up buying a wrench and cutting it. The lines are all run now and ready to be filled and primed.
I also got my new fuel rail in which is exciting except now I need new injectors so that puts a hold on the fuel system. I am waiting for my Fuel Regulator and line and I will rip out all of my fuel lines and start running new stuff. The intercooler came in as well. Holy shit its massive. This thing is 120mm thick and weighs more than a small korean child. I found out my hood latch re'enforcement bar needs to be cut out... GREAT more fabrication.... Now the question for that is, do I remove my latch completely and buy Top Secret hood pins or do I fab something up...
The oil filter
That is how much room i have to tighten the sandwich plate on the block.....
Heat wrapped my harness by my downpipe, and my valve cover by my turbo
My hood latch brace
And its off, There is the oil cooler as well.
Intercooler
My exhaust is off and ready for the Trust system to go on. I am going to have to do some fab but it will work
Doing my wiring for the battery relocation, you can see my boost controller solenoid laying there(silver box)
And I moved that too.
Aeromotive Fuel Filter
My Rail
Need a new badge:(
Rotors turned!
Nismo JDM as fck
Caliper painted
Rotor and caliper and hub lock nut all cleaned up.
Its been too long

Re: 1990 Nissan GTR
Hey so another update! I got alot of fabrication done today. Exhaust is all fabbed up and installed, as well as a new hood latch brace thanks to my Dad for the idea it looks awesome! Tomorrow I will be installing my intercooler and cutting my bumper. Should have the front end on by tomorrow. That just leaves interior and fuel system. We are making progress and im super excited!
Old exhaust on the left, new one on the right. Have to fab the old flange onto the new one. Little difference in size
Time to cut!
Welded on the old flange with a reducer. Ignore my shitty welds, using a non gas welder.
DONE Polished the muffler as well.
Its going to burn my bumper though... So close.. I need to buy a heat shield
Okay here is the hood latch. Before it was installed, measuring it up. Oil cooler off
There is the brace, behind the cooler. Very sneaky
That was it for today. Will take more pictures tomorrow. So far things are coming together!!
