Re: 1990 Nissan GTR
allllrighty here is another update. Put in a solid 8 hours on the car today. Making some serious ground. We will start with the trunk
Sprayed it with trunk spray, so I removed my meth tank and pump and sprayed away!
Before spraying
After Spraying! Like new
Then I got at the intercooler. I polished it and clear coated it!
Fitment is good!
Next step mount the fuel regulator! Had to make custom bushings to make it fit on the curved strut tower.
Next was bumper on and fitted, fender liner in, and my filters and mafs installed.
The fitment on everything so far is perfect. I cannot believe the front end fits so nice. Extremely excited about this! Tomorrow I will be spraying my interior and looming all my wire. Also I will be checking my sparkplugs and getting ready to prime the oil system and do a fire up! Then I will have to shut it down and remove my 700cc injectors and install new ones. The car wont run again until the new tune is done. My injector duty cycle is set to 65 percent of 700. With 1200cc injectors, 65 percent duty will flood the piss out of the motor, it will need to be tuned.
Really excited on progress and the car should be reaching the half way mark this weekend!

Re: 1990 Nissan GTR
Update! Primed the car today with oil and found out every single one of my fuel lines was leaking! Thank god no one was lighting a smoke in the garage, there would have been a big boom.... Anyways fixed all that and am looking to fire the car up tomorrow. Fucking glory day. I will then continue to put my interior together. So far the car is almost half done. Interior is sprayed, dash pieces are sprayed, battery cables are run. Im just waiting on carbon fibre plate i ordered to finish the interior. I will update everyone again tomorrow. If there is no update its because my car lit on fire and everyone died tragically.
Re: 1990 Nissan GTR
Update! THE CAR RUNS. Ran great. No leaks, great oil pressure. This is great news!!! still wont be on the road for a while, as I am buying a new fuel system and getting a tune. Ill have my bike on the road till then so at least I can have that at meets. I am excited people!

Re: 1990 Nissan GTR
ALRIGHT. The car is down again. Time to finish it for real this time.... Drove it too and from revscene and ran great! Very happy with how the break in on this motor went. I do have some breaking up starting at around 6000 rpm which either is an ignition issue or a fuel pressure problem, im not sure yet.
So I rolled the car into the drive way today to start removing my fuel system.
Fuel system plans are, bigger injectors most likely 1000 or 1200cc, 11.0mm fuel rail (which i already have). A fuel labs regulator (have this as well) and all braided line from the tank and back. I also have a nice Aeromotive filter going in as well.
So I started by today removing my stock rail and N1 regulator and 700cc injectors. This took me a huge 45 minutes. I then removed my fuel lines up to the firewall.
So far the fuel system is at a slight stand still till I buy injectors...
I also checked my CAS ( cam angle sensor) to see if it was faulty. Couldnt see any problems but I still need to check voltage to it. If this is bad this would surely be the cause of my breaking up in the higher RPM range.
Anyways I will post pics. But for now here is a list of whats left to go on the car.
BOV: running no Blow off valve at the moment, just surging it back to the turbo. Need to purchase either a Tial 50mm, or an HKS Type R blow off valve, to handle high boost pressures.
Wheels and Tires
Brake rotors
AEM air fuel ratio gauge( for piece of mind)
Carbon, Carbon, Carbon...
Rear diffuser.
Bee R 2 step
Billet racing pedals
New harnesses. Anybody want to buy my OMP one? like new!
And im thinking of re designing my turbo inlet piping.... something custom. I love 1 off stuff...
And finally a tune. Do I think ill make 700? probably not... My guess is my turbo runs out in the mid 600 WHP range... But if i can make 650 on RG's low ass reading dyno (13% lower.. mustang dyno) that would figuratively put me at 734 hp on a regular dyno ( dynojet) and thus putting me around 830hp at the crank (ive done the math) which is fucking mind blowing (excuse my language) considering I would have never expected that as this was a "mild" street build...
Looking forward to this. Cant wait to see you guys at the next meet.

It will truly be a beast when you get it done! Good luck with all the work you need to get completed on it.
